Hey there! I’m Paul, the person behind Paul Elby Photography and our specialised studio and outdoor dog photography experience here in Brisbane. I’ve spent more than 30 years around dogs — from working and hunting dogs to much-loved family pets — and I’ve had the privilege of photographing all sorts of personalities along the way. Our work has also been recognised with international pet photography awards. In late 2025, I created our signature Studio + Outdoor Experience from our base in The Gap, Brisbane — giving you the best of both worlds in one experience: natural outdoor action and connection, together with simple, timeless studio portraits. It means we can create a much more complete story of your dog — their energy, their personality and everything you love most about them. I can’t wait to meet your best mate and create something truly special together.

Your session includes a fully guided experience, time in studio and/or outdoors, and a viewing appointment where you’ll see your images and choose your favourites. Everything is designed to be simple, easy, and enjoyable.

Yes — most dogs don’t sit still! Sessions are designed to work with your dog’s natural behaviour, so there’s no need for perfect training.

Absolutely. Whether you have a playful puppy or a senior dog, we tailor the session to suit their energy level and personality.

Yes — and many clients choose to be included. These images become even more meaningful, and we guide you so it feels natural and relaxed.

Please ensure your fur baby is groomed and clean. Bringing treats, toys, and allowing your dog to be themselves is all that’s required — we’ll guide you through everything else.

Every client is different, but most people invest anywhere from $500 upwards, depending on the artwork they choose. Some keep it simple, others go all-in — it really comes down to what you love most.
